Doc Teller arrived an hour later and went up to check on Corrie and was up there for quite some time; leaving Opie to pace the halls with worry.

Corrie had grown up with Jax Teller who had come back from the war short one leg. Still, Jax was always so kind. doc Teller was proud of his son.

He furrowed his brow as he cam back down the steps toward Opie. There was a terrible flu going around and, in her pregnant state, it was really taking it out of Corrie. She was sleeping, but she was also wheezing pretty heavily.

"Well, Mr. Winston, you've got a pretty sick girl upstairs. I'm worried about her, being pregnant and all," he handed him a bottle of syrup, "Make sure she takes this and if she worsens at all, call me. I should be back, maybe even tonight, anyway because she is about ready to deliver."

Doc clapped him on the shoulder and left.

As he was walking out the door Doc Teller laughed, "Yes, she is ready for it."

Opie smiled, happy as a lark at the news. He made his way back upstairs and into their bedroom, sitting down at the edge of their bed. He gently rubbed her hip, "How are you feeling? Do you need anything?"

She shook her head and put her hand on his. The exhaustion was annoying. She coughed and snuggled back down into her pillow.

"I hate being this tired."

Opie kissed her temple gently, "Shh...just relax, love. I'm right here."

Grabbing his hand, she pulled him down into the bed with her. When his arms were around her she always felt better. Holding both his hands on her belly, she tried to sleep.

She woke a few hours later drenched in sweat, freezing, and in a great deal of pain. Before she could stop it she cried out from the pain, which caused her to have a coughing fit.

Opie jumped up, alert, "God, I'm sorry love...I'm calling Doc." He ran out to call Doc Teller while fumbling with the cough syrup bottle.

The Doctor got there quickly and the labor was hard. By the time it was over she was completely spent. Doc Teller gave her a shot and some medicine to help with the high fever. He wrapped the small baby and took her to her father.

"It's a girl," he smiled widely.

Opie smiled, tears welling up in his eyes, as he took his daughter in his arms. "Beautiful...just like her momma." Worry then crossed his face, "Corrine? Is she okay?"

She hated laying in the wet, sweat soaked bed, but she didn't have the energy or will to move. The room swam from all the medication the Doc had given her. She wheezed and tried to get comfortable.

Opie put the little girl in the cradle and attended to his wife, changing the bed linens around her and giving her a cool sponge bath. He made her take the medicine the Doc left before holding her hand in both of his, "You did good, love."

Corrie looked at her husband and smiled. Everything felt washed out, blurry. Weakly she tried to squeeze his hand.

"I love you."

With Bram's help, Opie checked on his wife while keeping an eye on his daughter; wondering what they were going to name her.

A few days later, Corrie felt well enough to venture out of the bedroom. She went searching through the house for her daughter. She found her in the most obvious spot, the nursery. Marveling at her small patch of brown hair, she smiled.
