At the hospital: Corrie and Opie

Opie had been sitting in that damn waiting room for over an hour. His patience was running thin from not being able to reach Dita and Juice on their cells PLUS not hearing anything in regards to Corrie's condition. He had badgered the shit out of the nurses and doctors and still no word. Tara and Jax were in Oregon so his pull was not readily available. He dreaded it, but he called Chibs, asking him in desperation to come to the hospital.

Chibs stormed into the hospital and demanded to see Corrie, being that he was actual next of kin, they couldn't refuse him. He completely bypassed Opie and went into the room.

What he found there was shocking, even for him. Corrie was hook to so many machines he didn't know what did what. Her blood pressure was outrageously high and she had another seizure while he was in the room. Little did the nurses and doctor know they were probably making it worse.

As soon as she came to, she started wailing for Opie, Chibs was sure the man could hear her. He went over to her bed and shooed the nurses off her.

"You canno' bloody touch her. You're makin' it worse, ya igits. She has PTSD, she can't be touched! You want something done either I have ta do it or that tall ass man in all the leather in the hall has ta!"

Opie came running as soon as he heard her. He rushed to her side, stroking her hair with one hand and taking her hand with the other, "Shhh...it's okay...it's okay, baby...I'm here...just calm down."

She felt like was dying. She was having terrible contractions and her heart felt like it was going to beat out of her chest.

"Jaysus, I think I'm dying," she panted, her pale face the same color as the sheets.

She grunted against a contraction.

The Doctor looked at them, "We have two options, we can let her labor and probably stroke out," he was unamused by chibs' outburst, "Or we can do a c-section and hopefully save them both"

Opie looked at Chibs, stunned. Chibs was her next of kin and he was the only one that had say. "Please..." His eyes filled with tears, unashamed.

Seeing the love opie had for corrie Chibs heart thawed and he walked over to the giant of a man with tears in his eyes and hugged him tightly.

"Aye, do it," he replied to the doctor.


As they prepped her, Corrie held Opie's hand. They had set p the familiar green tent and pretty much tied her down o the cold steel table. She couldn't feel anything below her chest thanks to the epidural. As they began the procedure Corrie looked at Opie.

"Our daughter will be here soon,' she smiled.

The smile turned into a contorted mask of horror as her top half tried to come up off the table. she looked at him with fear in her eyes just as the monitor for her heart went flat and her hand went limp in his.

The doctors rushed to remove the baby and Aisling's cry rang out as the nurses fought to save Corrie.

Opie's smile of hearing Aisling's cries instantly ended when he heard the flatline. He looked at the doctors, still clutching her hand, "Wha-what the hell is happenin'?! DO SOMETHIN'! BRING HER BACK!!!"

The nurses checked the baby and brought Opie Aisling as they tried to get him away from Corrie so they could bring her back. Aisling wailed in Opie's arms, as if she knew her mother was possibly gone. She had a thick shock of bright red hair with tiny ringlets. Her face was chubby and pale.

The doctor's did everything they could and just before they were going to call time of death a small beep filled the room. Quickly sewing her back up, they tried to rouse her.

Her head flopped from side to side, as though she was searching for something. She ached everywhere.

Opie held her hand with one hand and Aisling with the other, smiling as tears ran down his cheeks, "Oh baby..."

Corrie moaned, she felt like she'd been hit by a truck and her head hurt so bad her teeth even hurt. She turned her eyes toward Opie. He had tears streaming down his face and he was nuzzling a tiny redheaded baby.

"Aisling," Corrie whisper, barely audible.

Opie smiled softly at Corrie, "She is beautiful...just like her mother." He leaned in and helped Corrie hold Aisling against her, "She's perfect."

Corrie sobbed into her daughter's hair. She kissed her eyes and her chubby cheeks.

"Where's my sister," she croaked.

Opie frowned, Juice's words coming back to haunt him, "I don't know and don't really care...I told her to get lost. She is nothing but trouble, Corrine."

"Wh-what?" she handed Aisling back to him, "why, why Opie? That's my sister!"

She sobbed, making it hard for her to breathe in her weakened state

Opie shook his head, "It's her fault you are here now...she started this, Cor. I don't want her to cause our family any more problems."

An alarm for her blood pressure went off as she wailed,"What did you do? Oh, jaysus," she clawed at her chest, "I want my sister!"

He took the baby and put her in the bassinet before grabbing Corrie's hands, "No, Cor. She is gone. She was using you on a power trip and holding you down. You must realize that."

She yanked her hand away and stared silently away from him.

"Cor...it's for the best."

She rolled away from him and shut her eyes.
