AU - Backdraft

Slowly he slipped his arms around her, "Babe, Ope isn't Luke. He isn't going to hurt Cor. He told me today that he loves her," he kissed her head, "Babe, I'm sorry. I should have told you sooner where she went."

Dita continued to cry, "There's no way. He can't love her. He just met her..."

Juice cradled Dita's face and looked deeply into her eyes, " Babe, this is Opie King of thinking things through. If he says he loves her he does. Plus, I know how he feels. I loved you the first time I saw you. I KNEW you were meant for me."

Dita looked at him with a bit of surprise then disbelief, "J, you are too logical for love at first sight. Besides, if memory serves me right, you were too focused on my computer virus to even notice me." A genuine smile finally appeared on her face. She was starting to feel a little better.

"Sometimes you have to ignore the logic," he kissed her gently.

Dita sighed, "I hope she forgives me for being such a nut."

"Babe, she loves you, she isn't going to let this shit stand in the way," He kissed her again, "Can we go get Trini? Our home feels so empty without her."

He missed his daughter more than he could express.

Dita smiled at the thought of bringing her home, "Please? I miss her so much right now."

" I called Jax while you were out," he smiled, "He says he doesn't care how late it is, he'll be up and waiting for us."

Juice loved Jax. He was a great man. He took care of his children while his wife worked as a surgeon, it took balls to be a stay at home dad.

Dita smiled, "Let's go now. We can let her stay up a little late since it's not a school night. We can watch movies and have popcorn in bed. She could sleep with us?"

He smiled at her, "Yea, sure."

He helped her push through the still camped out press to get to their SUV and they headed out to get Trinity.

Three months later
December 2, 2001

Dita had been feeling out of it all morning. She woke up feeling like crap then she managed to forget her lesson plan for her fifth period class. Thankfully, Juice had the afternoon off and was evening shift tonight. She hated bothering him, but she had no option left but to call and ask him to drop the plan book off.

She was glad to be back at school; the only difference was that she was teaching in the high school art department. In fact, she was the head of it. She was happy to get such a promotion after six years with the school.

Dita waited in her classroom, working on her quarterly exam.

------Meanwhile out in the hallway-----

A few teen boys took turns glancing into the classroom at their teacher, Mrs. Ortiz. One boy smirked as Dita shifted in her seat, her skirt briefly shifting with her.

Boy One: "Thong or bikini?"
Boy Two: "Nothing at all."
*snickers*
Boy Three: Man, I'd tap that...like, every day. Mrs. O would not be able to walk for days..."
Boy Two: No shit. Dude, I get a hard-on just watching her clean the chalkboard...her little ass doing a little shake as she goes...."
*chuckles*
Boy one: "Man, I ask her for help so I can just stare at her tits...especially when she wears that white blouse...damn, and looked bigger yesterday. She's a MILF."

Juice walked up behind the boys, thanks to being trapped in the rubble he was pretty recognizable these days. To take some of the heat of Dee he'd started giving interviews doing funds drives, the three of them had even gotten medals.

"Oh, I agree, total MILF," he put his arms on the boys' shoulders, "But, if you're going to talk that way about the theacher you might want to call her a TILF. Sounds better."

He walked passed them and into the room, slipping his arm around Dita's waist, "Here ya go Babe."

He looked out the door at the boys and gave them a menacing wink.

Dita smirked, "I'm going to pretend I didn't hear you, Ortiz." She gently kissed his cheek, holding her lesson plan, "Thank you for bringing this. I hated calling since you are working the late shift. I don't know what is going on with my head right now."

His brow knit and he placed the back of his hand on her face, "You don't feel warm, are you just being forgetful?"

Dita smiled, "I'm fine, J. Just scatterbrained." She rubbed his chest gently, "So you will be home around 3am.? Thank god it's the weekend."

He closed his eyes and just felt her touching his chest for a moment.

"Yea, that should be about right. As long as nothing goes awry, I'll be home by then," he smiled, "Why, got a date?"

Dita blushed, "Just you." She gently kissed him once more, "Be quiet coming in though. Trini will be asleep in her room." Dita made sure to stress that Trini would be in her room that night.

"Like a church mouse, babe," he chuckled and walked away.

Later...

Dita carried Trini into her bedroom and tucked her into bed after watching Cinderella with her once more. It was now past eleven and her husband would be home eventually. She made sure Trini's nightlight was on before going through the apartment; shutting the lights off and locking up. She had fixed Juice a dinner plate up and went off to bed.

She decided to reveal her new addition to her chest tattoo. She found out two weeks ago that she was pregnant and wanted to tell Juice in a special way. So next to Trini's robin egg, she added another small one. To make sure he saw it, she wore a sheer nightie to bed, hoping he would see it at some point.

It didn't take her long to settle in their bed, falling fast asleep.

Juice came in as quietly as he could. The dinner Dita had left him was in the oven warming, but he wasn't hungry so he packed it up in his lunch for the next day. Stripping his clothes as he went, he made his way to their bedroom. Once inside he neatly folded the clothes and sat them on a chair. He flipped on the light and went over to his wife and sat on the bed.

"Dee, babe, wake up," he shook her lightly.

When the covers fell back he noticed the sheer nightie she had on. He ran his fingers over the sheer material and sighed. It was then he noticed that another egg had been added to the tattoo she'd gotten for him, her, and trini.

"Dee! Wake up," he said, excitement on his face.

Dita moaned out sleepily, "J...I don't have to work today, it's Saturday...." She sat up some, rubbing her eyes as she woke up. She finally looked at him and saw his excitement. Then she remembered, She smiled softly, "Surprise?"

He smiled and grabbed her, hugging her tightly.

"I fucking love you, Dee," he brushed her mouth with his.

Dita smiled against his lips, "I love you too."

He trailed kisses down her neck while his hands traced the hem of her nightie.
