Gangland: Carlos and Dee Dee

Opie knew Carlos had been in love with the girl for a while now. He nodded, clearing the house out before leading Corrine out, locking the door behind them. Dee Dee was still in Carlos' study, looking out the window, deep in thought.

Carlos came up behind her and wrapped his arms around her, "Stay with me. Marry me."

Dee Dee looked down, "Please...don't marry me if it's only out of pity. We only known each other a few months."

"I've been in love with you since the first time I saw you at that piano," he kissed her, hard, "I don't do anything in my life out of pity."

Dee Dee looked up at him, a stillness coming over the room, before finally answering. "Yes."

He twirled her in a circle. When he sat her down his face became serious, "We have to do it quickly. You can't go home to Jax because he will try to stop you."

Dee Dee looked at him with anticipation. "Tonight? We can go tonight. There has to be someplace nearby that will marry us."

"I know the mayor."

Dee Dee nodded, "I just need a dress. I don't want to marry you looking like a peacock..."

He nodded, "Bobby will take you where you need to go."

Dee Dee smirked, "At ten o'clock at night? Where can I go?"

"You can go to the store I own downtown, Bobby has keys."

Dee Dee nodded, her face bright and youthful, "Okay."

Bobby walked up to Dee, Dee,"Come on, Miss Teller, no time to waste."

He smiled, Jax was going to flip his shit.


Carlos called the mayor and arranged for him to be at his house by midnight. By tomorrow, he'd be married.

Dee Dee rushed though the empty department store and found a simple Irish lace wedding dress and veil appropriate for an impromptu photo and a simple wedding band (with the help of Bobby) for her soon-to-be husband.

When she got back to the house, she quickly got ready, swapping her make-up for more natural tones. By midnight, she was down in the sitting parlor. She shyly looked at Carlos, Bobby, and the mayor.

Trying to follw Dee Dee's lead, Carlos had changed into his tux. He thought she looked beautiful. He held her hands and waited for the mayor to start.

Dee Dee held his hands tightly as the Mayor went through a quick ceremony. She fidgeted nervously as they exchanged their vows and the ring she had found for him. She blew out a sigh of relief that Bobby selected the right size.

The time finally came for him to kiss her. The time now was ten after midnight.

He lifted her veil and stared at his bride; he was afraid if he linked all of this would disappear. He leaned in and gently, with the most tenderness he had ever had, kissed her lips. He tried to hide the tears that slid down his cheeks.

After that kiss, everything was a blur. They signed their marriage license, Bobby and the old Italian maid, Mrs. Caradeli, acting as witnesses. They took a photo by the mantle and by two, everyone was gone. The house was so silent and still. Dee Dee waited by the stairs as he new husband shut off lights and locked the doors.

He was so nervous as he made his way upstairs he nearly hyperventilated. Outside of the bedroom he took a minute to pace and talk himself into going in. The need fort his to be perfect wasn't something he was used to.

Dee Dee paced nervously in her new sheer white nightgown around the bedroom; finally stopping to look out at the midnight sky.

He opened the door as silently as he could. She stood in the dimly lit room by the window. The moonlight made her white nightgown seem like it was glowing. His heart stammered from the sight of her.

"You're like an angel."

Dee Dee softly crossed the room to him. She cuddled close to him, her eyes now showing relief and happiness. She but her bottom lip nervously, "Well...we are married...I never would have thought you'd get married; let alone to me."

He ran his nose along her jaw and barley touched his lips to hers creating a delicious tension.

"You are the only woman I could have ever married.the only one who I've ever been stuck breathless by."

Dee Dee rested her palms on his chest, feeling her breath hitch as his lips softly brushed hers. She lightly kissed his bottom lip.
