Dita and Juice: The Big Day

He chuckled, "Ok, I can definitely handle watching you eat normal food."

He took her hand, her excitement was contagious.

"I'm so excited to be here with you."

Dita brought his hand to her lips, "I'm happy you are here with me too. You get to see all the places that meant so much to me when I was a kid."

He smiled at the thought of Dita as a kid romping through the streets of Chicago. He kissed her forehead.

"Lets get started, then."

Dita didn't waste his time that day: taking him to all her old haunts. She took him to a couple museums, some shops on State St and Michigan Ave, and to lunch at Gio's East. She was like a teen again; telling him stories about her life in the city. Chicago felt so magical at this time of year with Christmas around the corner.

As a kid from Brooklyn he felt like he was betraying his tastebuds liking Gino's pizza, but like it he did. They had been so many places that day. He loved listening to her animated stories and seeing her so at ease.
"They may make me give back my New Yorker card I like this pizza so much."

Dita smirked, "Told ya. Tomorrow I'll introduce to our hot dogs." She had another slice of pizza. "God, I am going to balloon up during this pregnancy."

He smiled,"Isn't that what you're supposed to do?"
He leaned over and kissed her cheek.

Dita blushed some before turning to kiss him. Just as she was pulling away, she heard a familiar male voice from her past.

"Dita? Dita DeSantis?" Mike Dunn was standing in front of her table with that same charmer smile.

Dita smiled brightly, "Mike! Hey!" She stood up giving him a big hug; not noticing Mike's hands intentionally resting on her lower back. She pulled back and smiled, "It's Dita Ortiz now...Mike, this is my husband, Jean Carlos or Juice...Juice, Mike Dunn."

Mike smirked, "Juice? Cute."

Juice grabbed Dita's hand and tried to fight the urge to punch the ass hole. Cute? He had no fucking clue who he was fucking with.

"Yea, that's me, cute," he didn't offer the man his hand.

Dita was still on cloud nine and didn't seem to notice how tense things became. After chatting a bit and Mike flirting going unnoticed by Dita, he finally left, but not before insisting Dita go out to eat with him and some of her old friends from school. He deliberately didn't extend the invitation to Juice. Dita agreed and once he left, she went back to her lunch.

Juice seethed, he wasn't mad at Dita. Clearly the woman only had eyes for him or she wouldn't have been able to completely dismiss every advance the creep made. He picked at his pizza and tried to let it go. It wasn't in his nature, though.

"Are you seriously going to go out with that douche?"

Dita frowned, "J, he was one of my best friends in high school. Besides, he's inviting Charlotte, Nick, and a few other old friends. What is wrong with that? You can come along too..."

Juice shook his head, "You know I would go anywhere with you, but he didn't invite me, Dee. Very pointedly he didn't invite me. You can go but you need to be careful."

Dita smiled sadly, shaking her head. "Nah...it's okay." She looked down at her plate, picking at her food.

He grabbed her small hands in his, "Babe, I want you to go. I trust you and you were so excited. Besides, I have some stuff I HAVE to get done for Jax tonight. Go, please."

He raised her hands and kissed them gently.

Dita smiled softly, "Thank you."

Later that night he was alone in their hotel room missing her desperately. He sighed as he tried to keep his mind on finding the information Jax wanted on Romeo. after all he'd been through inthe last couple of yeas, Dita was the one bright spot. He often struggled to keep himself afloat, but didn't want Dita to know. He looked at the clock, it was nearly midnight. He silently hoped his wife was having a good time and buckled back down to his computer.

Dita's panicked sobs escaped her as she ran down the hall of their hotel floor. She finally reached their door, tumbling in and tripping to the floor; her breathing labored and sobs quaking her small body like a panicked hummingbird. She wrapped her scratched arms tightly around herself as she rocked back in forth on the floor. Her shirt was torn and the button and zipper of her jeans were broken. Her bottom lip was busted, her nose was bleeding, and her left eye was black and puffy. Her hair and make-up were in a disarray.

Juice's head jerked in the direction of the noise from the door just in time to see Dita, sobbing and clothes torn, fall into the room. Instantly he rose and raced to her side.

"What in the holy god damn hell happened?"

Dita moved away from him slightly, scared that he was disgusted with her, "Y-ou were right...he lied. He lied and said we'd see our old friends...then he tried to...he tried..." She couldn't meet his gaze out of shame.

"Oh, honey," he pulled her to him, "Not your fault he is a scumbag. God, I dhoul have just gone, I'm so sorry," inside he was seething.

Tonight Mike dunn would die.

Dita wiped away her tears, wincing as she touch the bruise around her eye and nose. She pulled away some, "Maybe I ask for it...I mean...it just keeps happening to me..." She shook her head, frighteningly calm now, "I need to shower." She shrugged out of his grip and crawled over to her trunk to get pajamas; she looked ashamed.

Mindful not to touch her, Juice got as close to her as he could, "No. That isn't true. I have never and would never do this to you. That bastard. I'll kill him."

Dita smiled sadly at him, "You can't keep me safe from everyone...you can't be my savior. I'll have to fight my own battles." She got up and walked to the bathroom. She took a quich shower, dressed in one of Juice's Samcro shirts that hung loosely on her and a black pair of boyshots. Without another word, she silently crawled into bed. All she wanted to do was sleep.

Juice sat in the chair by the bed watching her. He would take care of this and he would protect her.
