Opie groaned, "Woman, that was a bottle from 1962...damn you. Look, we wouldn't hurt you or your sister, okay? We didn't choose this life."

She reached out with her mind and tossed another bottle.

"You'll have to excuse me if I don't fucking believe you," she marched out of the room.



She didn't see him again until the night of her sister's show. Her eyes followed Juice around the room, he was acting like a caged animal and it put her nerves on edge. she knew none of the bikers would take her seriously as a threat or a guard for her sister, save one and he was watching her from far too close a place for her liking.

When the show was over she made to follow her sister to Juice's dorm and protect her even there, but Opie made his way across the crowd to her. Immediately all her senses were on high alert.

"What the hell do you want?" she seethed.

Opie shook his head, "First, let the boy go talk to her. Second, we need to talk about the other night."

The way he defended Juice softened her resolve some. Still, she sneered at him.

"Speak then," she snapped

"We didn't have a choice in this, Juice and I...and Chibs loved us too much to let go. We would never hurt you or Dee. I could never hurt you, Cor..." His eyes were sincere as he said this. Frankly, Corrie enchanted him."

She sighed, she wanted to trust him, Opie had always had a place in her heart, but her family didn't have a very good history with supernatural beings.

"Ope," she sighed, "My Mom felt that way too, just before she drank my Dad dry."

It was a bitter truth that she'd told no one. At some point in their childhood their mother had been attacked and turned by a vampire. Refusing the control of her sire, she returned home and they lived peacefully for many years. She had loved her mother and trusted her absolutely, the night it happened would forever be etched in her mind. They had known they were pushing it on time between feedings, but she wanted to see if she could some how go without killing people. Corrie begged her father not to let her mom drink from him in that state, but her Mother swore she had control; swore she could stop. It didn't take long for her to drink him dry and when she realized what she'd done, she'd thrown herself in the fire in their huge fireplace.

Corrie had to tell Dita what had happened, but she would always keep it locked tight in an area where she could never "see" it. She would never put her sister through that trauma.

Opie saw the visualization in her head and looked shell shocked, "Jesus...Cor, I'm so sorry..."

The air around them swirled as anger rose up in her. She did not like him being in her mind, at all. She threw up a wall against him.

"Stay out of my head," she hissed.

Inside she felt so torn, seeing him like this, it was the Opie she knew. Caring, kind, somewhat tortured. She sighed and turned to the door. She went outside, lookig behind her to be sure he followed, and made her way to the roof where she'd seen Opie sit many nights, just thinking. The balmy night air felt good against her skin an it calmed her as she kept tabs on her sister's frantic emotions she wasn't in danger, but she was upset. Once she was on the roof she sat and crossed her legs. Lifting her chin she allowed the wind to blow her hair gently; she loved being outside on a warm night.

"What happened to you in Stockton," she needed to know.

Opie sighed, "Pope tipped off the warden to have one if use killed...beat with a pipe to be exact...Jax was told to choose. I volunteered myself."

Shock on her face, she reached out and touched his hand, still going against all her natural instincts.

"Why would you do that?" she whispered.

She though about how he was before, all the shit he endured, it didn't seem fair that was how he went out.

Opie looked off in the distance, "Despair? Insanity? Looking for a way out, I suppose. Not willing to see any of my brothers die."

The lost look on his face broke her will. she couldn't hate him for h=something he didn't ask for. Now, she thought, she knew how her felt. They may be vampires, but they look and act like they did before. Well, for the most part.

Closing the distance between them, she let herself feel the cool skin of his face. There was no trace of the trauma, not that she expected there would be. Letting her wall drop she searched his feelings. There was so much sadness and anger. She leaned into his chest and sighed, no heart beat.

Letting go, she pressed her warm lips against his cold ones.

Opie sat so still for a moment, allowing her kiss to consume him. He leaned into her, kissing back with restraint as gently stroked her untamed hair that spun in the wind like licking flames.

The feeling of his hand on her hair ignited a fire in her. Her hands flew into his hair pulling him into her. She had watched him from afar for so long, waiting for him to be free. The taste of his mouth was sweet, though the coolness of it was disconcerting. She lost herself to the kiss until her tongue grazed one of his fangs. Out of pure instinct she pushed him away with her power. Just as he was about to go over the side she used it to pull him back.
She rushed to him, "God, I'm so sorry."

Opie sighed, running a shaky hand over her hair, "It's fine, darlin'...I get it..."

She couldn't take it. She stood and made her way back down to the ground. Searching for Dota's feelings she felt lust and knew she was fine. She hopped in her VW and went home, not once looking in her rearview, afraid she'd find Opie there. When she got home she started a fire, despite the heat, and dropped some sage in it to cleanse herself. Alone in the dark she sat cross legged in front of the fire.

Opie couldn't keep away fom her; drawn to her like a moth to a flame. He hesitantly approached the front door; tapping on it lightly.

Just out of second nature, she rose and went to the door. When she opened it, she immediately tensed. Opie towered over her, his pale skin all but glowing in the dark. She wanted him, wanted to touch him, feel him, be with him, but she was terrified of him.

She sighed, "Come in."

Opie sighed, "No rest for the weary....Juice and your sister made sure o that."

Anger rolled off her in waves, "Yes, I'm aware," she pointed to herself, "Empath."

She showed him to the living room where she had been sitting in front off the fire in the dark. Without bothering to turn on the lights she showed him a seat and handed him her best bottle of scotch.

"I plan on skinning Juice alive tomorrow. Defiling my sister is high up there on my lists of reasons why I kill you."

Sitting in his presence made the air around her feel electric. She tried so hard to block out his feelings. The craving was so hard to deal with. She put her head in her hand.

Opie's feelings were all over the place that night: confusion, anxiety, disappointment, regret...regret he never had the chance to be with Corrie, to show her how he felt since day one. He stared into her eyes; letting his guard down.

All his emotions slammed into her like a tidal wave physically knocking her back as she tried to sort through them. There was anxiety, regret, passion, longing, and something that came across as a deep caring. Not for the first time she wished she got more than just the emotion. It was so hard to tell why a person felt what they did.

Regaining some composure, she made eye contact with him. His amazing green eyes called to her, it was some kind of compulsion on Opie's part because she couldn't be compelled, still it called to her. She felt an emotion that was white hot, but she couldn't place it. Before she knew what she was doing she had crawled on her hands and knees across the floor to him. Shocked by her actions, she remained completely still, her arms on his knees and their nose nearly touching, staring into his eyes. It was as though the fire had even gone silent in the intensity of their gaze.

Opie whispered, "Be still." He cautiously leaned in; slowly kissing her.

Much like her sister's power, skin to skin contact made her empath abilities much stronger. When his cold lips touched hers with a gentleness no one else could have accomplished, his lust filled all her senses. How the hell was he holding back, she thought. She tried to do what he said and be still, but with her feelings and then the power of his on top of that she couldn't.

As she climbed into his lap she quickly unzipped his pants and slipped her undwear down her legs. With her every motion she could feel the lust in him grow. Finally, she straddled him and took him into her. She threw her head back, gasping for air. This was always such an overwhelming experience for her. Her own feelings mixing in with his, she moved against him, a light sweat already breaking out over her body.

Opie growled out, thrusting himself hard into her; his hands gripping her hips tightly. He leaned in capturing her lips with his own.
