Dee was sitting on the sofa with Juice and their daughter (who now appears to be three or four). Nestled in her arms was a auburn haired sleeping newborn. Dee looked up at her sister, smiling reassuringly, "Hey sis."

The time she'd spent away from Opie had left her soul raw and put more of an animal in her place. She looked down and scuffed the floor with her shoe. Now wanting to be stared at she hid behind Opie's large frame.

Hoping Opie would understand, she tucked her fingers in his bel and put her forehead against his back. This was not something she was ready for. Before, she had been, but now she needed to be alone with him to do this. So much in her had changed.

Juice looked to Dee, "Why don't we lay him down in the nursery and let them do this?"

Silently he thought, she looked like a caged animal, she'll be ok, but we have to give her space.

Dee caught his thoughts and nodded, carrying the baby into the nursery. She soon came back, taking her daughter's hand. "I'll call you later sis."

Slowly, Corrie nodded. She made her way upstairs to the room beside their bedroom to find the nursery already set up. Opie must have been busy in her absence. Laying in the black crib was a pale white newborn with auburn hair. She stood over him and looked.
