Everlasting D/J AU

Dita nuzzled his neck, "I was surprised anyone looked for me."

Her words disturbed him, "Don't you know how many people love you?"

Dita frowned, "I'm not used to being in the spotlight, J...not in normal life."

"And therein lies your problem," he smiled and kissed her passionately, "You are not normal. You are so much better than normal."

Dita blushed, "I'm alright." She smiled at him as he laid her down in her bed.

The smile that flitted across her face complimented the flush there. He lay beside her and nuzzled her neck, lightly placing kisses there.

Dita closed her eyes, sighing in content. She cuddled close to him in a effort to stay warm, forgetting that was not really possible.

He grabbed a fleece blanket and wrap it around her. As he watched her sleep his own eyes became heavy and he was soon asleep as well.

Dita woke up a couple hours later, feeling restless. She quietly slipped away from Juice and went to sit out on the balcony, thinking about her sister.

When he woke in an empty bed, Juice panicked. He shot straight up and reached out with his mind to find her. Once he'd found her he went to join hee.

Dita had been looking up at the stars; deep in thought. She heard Juice creep up behind her. She smiled softly, keeping her eyes on the stars. "They are beautiful. Mom used to say she knew when something was troubling me...she'd find me right here. I'd be thinking things out."

Juice cam up behind her, wrapping his arms around her waste. He didn't like to read her thought or anyone's for that matter, he felt like it was an intrusion. Opie often made fun of him for it. Inhaling the scent of her hair, he kissed her head.

"What's up?"

Dita looked down, tracing the cracks in the stucco balcony wall. "Do you really think we can last...despite our...issues?"

Juice considered what she said. He could see himself with her for as long as she lived or forever if that's what she wanted. He turned her towards him, gently kissing her lips.

"I'm not going anywhere. I'll love you for as long as you still want me."

Dita kissed him gently before sighing, "I'm not saying I'll always feel this way, but...what if I don't want to be changed? I don't want to constantly lust for your blood."

"If she had been changed properly, that wouldn't have happened, Dee. If he had just killed her then changed her, she would have been just another vampire. You've had a lot of my blood already, your mom gave you something Corrie didn't have. That would never happen to you," he sighed and held her, "But I don't care if you don't want to be changed, I'll still be here."

Dita looked at him with concern, "What about when I age? When I'm 30, 40, 50...you will lose interest. I understand that too, J."

He held her hands, "Dee, just because I don't age physically doesn't mean I don't age at all. Why in the hell would I want someone else? I won't lose interest."

Dita looked down, "Until I get old...J, people will think I'm your grandmother."

He gave her the most sly look he could muster, "You'd be the luckiest grandma alive."

Dita cuddled close to him, "We'll see."

He could smell the blood racing under her skin as she cuddle him, Before he could stop it a groan came out of him.

Dita frowned, knowing that groan, "This will never work, will it?"

He smiled at her, "I'm a vampire, Dee, I'll just go eat someone else. You just, well, you taste really good. It's like if you smelled your favorite food, it would make you hungry too."

Dita blushed, "what do I smell like? Fried chicken? Spaghetti?"
