Everlasting D/J AU

Dita kissed his lips before looking back down at their daughter. "J...I want to ask Corrie and Opie if they would like me to be their surrogate when the time is right."

His eyes widened, "Are you sure? That's a huge thing. I will support whatever choice you make. I know Opie's kids were something that always twisted him up. I don't know how he even feels about that. It's a very noble and beautiful thing to offer."

He kissed her lips.

Dee nodded, "I know they may say no, but I want to give them that option."

He held her close, "You are an amazing woman, Dee."

He handed their daughter to her and stood.
"Are you hungry?"

Dita held Charlotte close, admiring her some more. "Not really. Maybe just some soup."

Juice busied himself in the kitchen, wondering about how Opie would take the news of what Dita was offering. Slowly he stirred the tomato basil soup, he was so preoccupied with his daughter and the pure joy of having what he never thought he would have.

Dita fed Charlotte as they waited for Juice, rocking her in the chair. She hoped she wasn't crossing a line with her sister.

He brought the soup into the nursery on a tray complete with fresh cut flowers. He took the baby and laid her in her crib after setting the tray down for Dita. Foir a moment, he stood above the crib and just stared, again amazed by this little impossible being.

Dita smiled and sipped at her soup, "You are a wonderful daddy, J."

"Well, it's something I've always wanted. I never had a dad and I just really wanted to prove that I knew what it took despite that," he caressed the baby's gace.

Dita finished her soup and went over to watch him, smiling as she saw their daughter fast asleep. "I'm happy I could share something so precious with you."

He turned on the baby monitor and took er out to the living room. Making a fire, he pired her a glass of wine and sat at her feet. He loved just relaxing with her.

"How are you feeling?"

Dita sipped her wine while rubbing his arm with her free hand, "Feel like my old self. A little tired still though. I suppose that is natural though."

Juice chuckled at her use of the word natural, "Yea, I suppose it is natural." He stretched though he never really got stiff anymore.
'We have a run tomorrow, do you want me to stay with you?"

Dita rubbed his shoulders, "It's up to you. We will be okay if you have to go."

He sighed," It's a gun run I feelnlike I have to go"

Dita kissed his neck, "Go. We will be fine."

He smiled and made an appreciative noise, "Ok. I just hate to leave them alone out there when I can't be hurt, you know?"

Dita laughed, "I know, babe." She kissed his lips once more before resting her face in the crook of his neck.

His cell rang and he ignored it. They'd have him to themselves soon enough. He stroked her hair and watched the fire burning in This was contentment. He had his wife, his baby girl, things just couldn't get much better.

Dee nuzzled his neck frowning at the vibration of the phone, "What if it is important?"

"Nothing is more important than you and Charlotte right now. If they need me thy know where to find me," he kissed her forehead.

Dita leaned closer into the coolness of his lips, her arms wrapped around his waist.

The temperature of her had risen some since she had become immortal and he loved the feel of her against his cool skin. He pressed his ear to her chest and listened to the sure beat of her heart.
