| Juice closed his eyes and called out to Opie and hoped he told Corrie. Within minutes Corrie apoeared.
She turned to Juice," get me towels and a blanket and so hot water. Now!"
Juice did as he was told and was then banished to the hall. He paced and fretted. | |

| Dita was relieved to see her sister there.
Several hours passed; Dita may have been immortal, but pain was still something she could experience. The labor was painful and long. Finally, near the wee hours of the morning, Charlotte Rosalind Ortiz was born. As to be expected, she had her mother's vibrant green eyes and her father's black hair. | |

| She let Charlotte hold on to her finger as she leaned against Opie. The sadness that she couldn't provide this for him was still palpable, but she no longer held it against the baby or her sister. A few tears slid down her cheeks as she smiled and held the baby close, not able to say anything to Ope. | |
