Dee cuddled close to him, tracing some of the tattoos on his body with her fingertips.

He sighed, "God, I love when you do that."

Dita blushed, "It used to annoy you when I first did that at the shop...when you got your reaper tattoo on your forearm. Then again, I was only 17 then." She chuckled as she continued, "I was just a little girl with a crush."

He smiled, remembering the incident. Her smoothe fingers beautiful to him even then. Secretly he'd loved when she touched him, the smell of her perfume, and her smile.
"It annoyed me because I liked it too much and you were 17."

Dita rested her head on his cool chest, "I was head over heels for you...drove my sister insane."

He stroked her hair, "I know it was wrong, but I loved you then. As often as your sister tried to beat Lyla it's a womder she noriced anything else. For a while I thought Luanne wa going to end her."

Dita laughed, "She has a temper. I was most happy when she beat up Ima. I hated her: gorgeous, perfect, bad attitude...then she would flirt shamelessly with you."

He grimaced, "Ima is not perfect. She is no you."

Dita blushed, "Neither am I." She moved to kiss him.

"You are amazng,"

"So are you. You need to give yourself some credit."

He smiled and.pulled her close.
"It's been a long day, we shoud get some sleep."

Dita nodded, shutting her nightstand lamp off. She curled up close to him, "I love you."

A few weeks later found Juice basically living with Dee and Corrie. As he made Dee some lunch he heard Ope frantically knocking on the door. When he answered he told him that Donna had attacked Cor and she had taken off. How the hell Donna was even alive blew Juice's mind.

With trepidation, he approached Dee in the library, "Dee, I have to tell you something."

Dita looked up and instantly got the images in her head. Her abilities had advanced since the night her mother saved her. He didn't have to say any more. "Take me to the airport."

He shook his head, "Ope has already left. You;re human and they've tortured her, you can't be around her until Opie brings her hom. Itherwise she may try to eat you."

Dee shook her head, "I don't care. She needs me!"

He grabbed her by the shoulders, "I am not going to explain to Corrie how she killed you! I won't lose you! Let Opie handle this," he looked away, "......please,,,,"

His heart was breaking for her and for himself. He couldn't let her go.

Dita felt tears roll down her cheeks, "She needs me though..."

"No, she needs you alive. I won't explain to her how she killed you! I won't lose you!"

His heart broke for her.

Dita collapsed to her knees sobbing, "I need to protect her...mom said so..."

"You can protect her when she get \s home."

Dita couldn't stop crying as she lay on the floor. Worry gripping her to the core.

A few days later Opie carried Corrie inside and up to her room. Juice went to find Dita.
"Dee, she's home."

Dee, who was sitting in her bedroom, went sprinting down the stairs to her sister's room. She cried out of relief when she saw her, "Oh Cor!"
