A moth to a flame: Juice and Dita

Dita blushed as the wives watched Juice dote on her. She could never get used to his attentiveness. She nodded, "My car is all packed. Cardeli and Perez helped."

He smiled and nodded. Taking a few minutes before they left he made his way through the group of wives and thanked each one. After returning to Dee he took her hand and walked with her to the car.
Kissing her her soft lips, he smiled.
"Lets go home."

Dita nodded, getting in the car. Once she buckled herself in, she rested back in the chair. Her feet were sore, but she was otherwise great. She smiled at him, "I think we are just about ready for the baby. Morrow's wife got us a stroller."

He smiled. The baby was all he thought about anymore. He.was sure he.was going to explode before she.got there.
"One down," he laughed.

Dita chuckled, rubbing her belly as the baby squirmed. She still got excited when the baby moved. She took Juice's hand, pressing it to the spot where the baby's foot was pushing.

The feel of his daughter moving against his hand always brought tears to his eyes. He rubbed the spot and coughed

Dita rubbed his hand gently, "You okay?"

"Yep. Fine." He smiled and squeezed her hand.

Once they were home, Dita carried up the bags and sat them in the nursery. She slipped her heels off and went into the kitchen to get something to drink.

He followed her to the kitchen and grabbed an apple. He sat on the.counter beside her.
"How is the school work going?"

Dita drank her apple juice, sitting by the island. "It's good. I'm going to miss the kids during my maternity leave."

"I'll be glad to have you home. It's always homier when you're here," he finished his apple.

Dita smirked, "You'll get sick of me after a week."

"Nah, it will be the other way around," he laughed and tossed his core into the trash across the room

Dita ran a hand down her belly before going over to him for a cuddle. She was happy to be home. Preparing for the baby had been so time consuming.

He held her close and kissed her head.
"It won't be long and we will be three not two."

Dita smiled, "I know...I can't wait to hold her. Take her to the fire house to see her Daddy..."

"I would really like that," he smiled and.rubbed her belly..

Dita kissed his lips, "I'm glad I sat next to you in painting class. Who would have thought we'd get married and have a baby?"

He smiled and kissed her lips, "I could never have loved anyone like I do you."

Dita held onto him, yawning a little.

He.lifted.her and.carried.her to the bedroom. Gently, he laid her on the bed and changed her clothes. After tucking her in he joined her.

Dita smiled at him, moving to cuddle with him. "We should put the tree up tomorrow."

"Yes!" his eyes lit up, "We can go get it out of storage and get some new ornaments. I LOVE putting up the tree!"

Dita smiled at his eagerness. "Our first Christmas as a married couple. I can't wait till next year."
