Panic gripped him, she shouldn't have said that. He had never fed off someone he hadn't killed. While his mind raced, he stared at her.

"I've never bitten anyone I didn't intend to kill," he spoke matter-of-factly.

He squeezed his eyes shut tight trying hard to block out the thought of devouring her.

Dita gently held his hand, blocking his images as she gently stroked his knuckles, "I trust you. I...I don't know why, but I do..." She let her images go: an image of her now pink skin white and cold. Her green eyes now amber. Then her teeth...convert to fangs.

Unable to stop himself he grabbed her and sank his teeth into her neck. The heat off the blood made him moan as he desperately clung to her. Forcing himself across the room to break away, he crouched and panted.

Dita held the sore spot on her neck, silently creeping into the bathroom to shower off the blood and bandage the punctures. A few minutes later, she was sitting on the floor in front of him in one of his shop shirts and her panties. She gently rubbed his arms, "You aren't a monster."

Looking her in the eyes, "Do you have any idea how many people I've killed? Innocent, good people? When it was other outlaws or gang bangers it didn't bother me, but when you can't control yourself in the beginning, well, there's collateral damage."

Dita shook her head, "No...you are still the kind, sweet man that I met before all this happened...Juice, I've always liked you."

He shook his head, "I'm not. You've always likes me?

Dita blushed, "Yeah...ever since I was 16 and you came around...granted you never noticed me because I was a kid. And you are...stop saying that you are evil."

He frowned some, he truly did believe he was evil. Reaching one cool hand out he caressed her cheek.
"I started noticing you right after it happened," she was the one thing that kept him going.

Dita looked down shyly, "What was different then?"

Biting his lip, he tried to pinpoint what had changed. It wasn't her. She had always been beautiful, full of life, strong. He sighed.

"I think it was because you were such a bring light in my darkness."

Dita's blush warmed her cheeks, "I don't know what to say...sure it wasn't the burlesque?" She smiled jokingly.

He shook his head emphatically. Growing up in a home full of women he had a healthy respect for women and would never dream of going after a woman just because of something like that. sure, he'd fucked a hot girl just to fuck her, but never did he try for a relationship with girls like that.

"It was partially your eyes. The warmth in your eyes."

Dita blushed, "They're okay."

"They're everything," he kissed her lips gently.


Removing the bandage from her neck, je bit the tip of his finger and rubbed his own blood on the wound, healing it. He didn't want her to have to walk around with a wound.

Dita kissed him back gently, relaxing under his touch. "I feel kinda woozey..."

Lifting her he placed her on his bed, then left the room. Making his way through the various passed out bodies, both male and female, he went to the bar and grabbed a glass of OJ. Once he was back in the room, he handed it to her.

"Drink it," he smiled.

He cuddled up behind her.

Dita drank it and smirked, "You forgot my shot of Sprite." She kissed his cheek gently and finished her juice. She sat the glass down and laid down next to him.

The next morning he woke, Dita still beside him. For the first time since he hung himself, he felt happy. He stroked her hair and watched her chest evenly rise and fall. He didn't want to wake her.

Dita cuddled close to him, sighing in content with a small smile on her face. She hadn't slept that well in months.

Juice brushed her smile with his lips. Knowing he was going to have to get up soon and go check in with Chibs and Opie. It was just something he required because they were newborns.

"Morning."

Dita smiled widened against his lips, "Mmm....morning...I don't even recall falling asleep."

"You slept like a rock," he laughed.

He let his fingers lazily trace the hem of her underwear along her thigh.

"I have to go check in with Chibs," he frowned.

Dita frowned, "No morning cuddles? Damn Chibs..."

She sat up and looked at his alarm clock. "I suppose I should go back to my house. My day off today from the shop."

"If you see Ope tell him he better hurry back or Chibs will be pissed," he nuzzled her with his nose.

He relished how normal he felt with her.
