everlasting AU

She sighed, for the most part it did make her happy, but at what cost? For the first time since it all started she leaned up and tenderly kissed him, no biting.
"It does make me happy but it's like I've lost a piece of myself. All I know is I need you."

Opie held her close, "I'm so sorry, Cor."

When they finally made it back to Charming, Corrie had resigned herself to going through with it. She didn't want to, but she wanted Opie to be happy. She called her sister and wasted no time.

"Ok, lets do this," she let go of Opie's hand and walked towards her sister.

Dita hesitated slightly before pressing her hands to her sister's chest.

Corrie looked over at Opie, frightened, as a bright white light emanated from her. It burned and she screamed Opie's name. As the light dimmed, Corrie fell to the floor.

Dita dropped to her knees, weak and scared. Opie shook her, "Corrie?!"

Corrie didn't respond.

Juice, seeing both of them flipping out, came in and put his head to Corrie's chest. His brow furrowedl this was suposed to change her back, but she still had no heartbeat.

Dita was sobbing, frantic; trying everything she could to help her sister. She looked at Juice, "Please! Help her!"

Juice closed his eyes, reaching out to Corrie's mind. There was still activity. Relieved, he sighed and prepared to tell Dita it hadn't worked.

"Dee, she's fine. I can hear her in her mind. It must not have worked."



Corrie felt heavy all over as her eyelids fluttered and she saw Opie's frantic face beside her sister's. Turning her head towards his forearm, she nuzzled him.

"Opie? Did it work?"

Opie sighed, shaking his head in disbelief. "What happens now?"

She nuzzled his neck and inhaled deeply, "Are you sure? I have no desire to feed from you."

Opie sighed, rubbing her cheek with his thumb, "Positive?"

"I'm thirsty,but," again she sniffed his neck, "not for you."

She smiled and crushed her lips to his then stood and walled to her sister, "Thank you."

Dita hugged her, but gasped out, "Sis...can't breathe."

If she could have blushed, she would have. Letting dita go she spoke, "Sorry."

Catching Opie staring at her, she walked back to him. She stroked his face, hair, chest, and placed feathery kisses on him. She loved this man. He belonged to her. Sighing, she laid her head on his chest, his lack of heartbeat no longer bothering her.

She looked at him through her lashes and thought, "I'm hungry."

Opie grinned, kissing her once more, "Let' go hunt then."

They rode his bike to a small town outside of Charming and began the hunt. She watched as he fed on some asshole kid who was clearly high. The way he stalked him like some kind of large cat, loving every minute of it. When he was done, she softly kissed his lips and went on her own hunt. Finding a strung out whore, she grabbed her, slammed her into the wall and slowly sniffed up her neck. Finally, she sunk her teeth in her.

As the hot liquid filled her, making her skin pinker, easing her thirst, she didn't see the girl, she saw Opie. She tasted Opie. It disturbed her so much she dropped the girl before she'd finished.

Opie noticed the look on her face, "You okay?"

She shrank away from him, "When I drank her... I..I....I saw you. I smelled you. I tasted you," she stared at her hands.

She looked down at the girl who had begun to come to and she pounced on her, finishing the job. A growl ripped lose from her as she smelled and tasted Opie while drinking the hot fresh blood of a human. Bloody tears streaked down her face as she gasped and let the girl fall to the floor.

"So all I have to do now is convince Chibs I don't see you or taste you when I feed,'" she sobbed against Opie's chest.

Opie held her close, "We are going to get through this; you aren't going after me now, right? You can do this."

She inhaled deeply, still she felt no thirst, "No, I don't want you, but it's because my brain is projecting you on everyone else. Why am I so fucked up, Ope?"

She felt like she was coming apart at the seams.

Opie kissed her forehead, "You aren't fucked up, Cor. Every newborn has their weakness."

"Why does mine have to be you?" She crushed his lips to hers, "Lets go to Chibs. The sooner this is done the better.

Opie looked at her in horror, "You aren't really...no. I won't let you do this."

She smiled and caressed his cheek, "Silly boy, I mean to show him I can feed on humans. That was his issue, right? If I show him, he lets me live, right?"
