He shrank back, "I fed her."

Corrie looked at him in shock, "The bottles. They were your blood!"

Chibs chuckled, "Rather clever, eh?"

Corrie seethed, bloodlust now mixing with her desire to feed on him. She lost the battle as she loudly growled and launched herself at him.

Opie growled, grabbing her and jerking her back, "Enough!"

As he held on to her she looked up at him," I'll kill him!"

Chibs chuckled, "My dear, you love me far too much. Admit it."

Her shoulders slumped and she back up against Opie. It was true, she loved him too much to harm him. She clung to Opie like a lost child.

"I love Opie!"

Opie was beginning to second guess her love and it tore him apart. Chibs looked at the pain on Opie's face and felt some remorse.

Chibs looked down, "Take her home, don't let her near me. It will wear off in a week or so. I'm sorry. She does love you."


Corrie turned and buried her head in Opie's chest.

Opie gingerly picked Corrie up and carried her out to his truck; still feeling betrayed and bitter.

When they got back to the house, she went into the attic and locked the door. She knew he could force it open if he wanted to, but she had to get away from his feelings. She was hurt. She had no idea how to fix this or even what she had done. How was she supposed to fight back feelings that someone else planted in her. Despondently, she cried in the corner, not blocking any of her thoughts or feelings from him. She wished she could disappear.

Opie forced the door open an hour later after he cleared his own head. He went to her, taking her hands in his, "This isn't your fault. I could never be angry with you."

She looked up at him, her face stained with streaks of red, "I love you. I love just you. Only ever you."

She shook her head trying to erase all the nice things Chibs had done for her. All those things were tainted by what he did. The feelings were false and she knew that. Her feelings for Opie burned like a beacon.

Opie brought her hands up to his lips, "I know and I love you. We will get through this. I promise."

She crawled up into his lap and placed her head against his silent chest, "I just want thing to be normal, Ope. I want to get married and be together, that's all I want. That's it. why is all of this so hard for us?"

Opie frowned looking down, "It's my fault...I changed you...I made this happen."

"Hush," she spoke gently, not absolving him knowing he wouldn't listen.

She wanted something normal so badly.

"Opie, marry me."

Opie looked down, deep in thought. "What...what if you change your mind?"

Sitting up on her knees between his legs she kissed him long, slow, and deep.

"I will never change my mind about how I feel about you. Someone would have to kill me to keep me from loving you."

Opie finally looked up at her. Staying silent for a few beats, he followed his gut. "Let's get married."

She smiled, "I already have everything picked out," she flushed, "I have for quite a while now."
Allowing her hands to play with his beard she kissed his lips.

Opie smiled, "I love you...always remember that."

"It's the only reason I'm here," she ran her nose acriss the his jaw giggling as his beard tickled het.

He chuckled, "When should we get married?"

"Hmm, next week? Surely Dee will still be pregnant and able to go by the," she felt the jealousy rise.in her like bile.
