Dita smiled, hugging her tight, "I'm so glad to hear that. I wanted you to have this so badly. We can start treatment in about two month or so."

She smiled and returned to the party. the night was perfect after that. Corrie hadn't wanted to leave for a honeymoon. so they just holed up in the house. She was completely in love with Opie. She fawned over him, he never went without affection. She was trying to make up for the last few years of his mortal life.

Opie woke up one morning, smiling as he saw his love laying beside him. He curled up around her, kissing her neck softly.

Corrie opened her eyes and purred, "Today's the day, Ope."
A huge smile spread ovee her face.

Opie smiled, "I know...ready?"

She smiled and threw back the covers, "I was born ready."

She showered, dressed, and ate some toast just to feel normal. She figured they would probably have to eat with the kid to help give the illusion of normalcy. She skipped through the house, nothing could rain on her parade today.

After showering, Opie came downstairs. He felt a little nervous but was otherwise ready. He buckled his belt. He kissed her lips gently, "About ready?"

She smiled and nodded. Today, they were going to try to make a baby. She was beside herself. They got on the Dyna, Corrie clutching Opie's leather, and made there way to meet up with dita and juice.

Once they met up with Dita and Juice, Opie looked at Juice nervously, "Hey."

Juice smiled his trademark smile, seeing the large man so nervous,"Morning Brother. Chill out. You look like you might puke."



Corrie laughed at Juice and took opie's hand, "He's right, calm down."

Opie sighed, "So what happens now?"

Unsure, Corrie looked.to Dita.

Dita sighed, "Um...I got some back Hustler issues, tissues, lotion, a specimen cup, and a turkey baster? I mean, love ya Ope...but I can't sleep with ya...Ew."

Opie's face turned red, "Jesus..."

Corrie threw her head back and laughed, "Go get 'em, tiger."

Opie rolled his eyes and went inside...getting down to business.

It didn't take long for Dita to do what she needed to do to start the process. An hour later, she was on bed rest in hopes things would take their proper course. She smiled at her sister, "I should know what happens by tomorrow. That's how it happened with Char."

Corrie barely slept that night, though Opie seemed to sleep like a damn rock. She paced the halls in her long, white night gown. Suddenly, she was nervous. She stillw anted it more than anything, but she was scared, too.

Opie woke up, sensing her edge and went to her, "We are going to be fine...you are ready for this."

She leaned into his bare, pale chest and sighed. Though she no longer craved his blood, just his presence always seemed to calm her. She often wondered if it was because he turned her. She let her fingers trace his. The only thing missing was a sure and steady heart beat. Though she had long ago convinced herself she didn't miss being human, deep down she actually did.

Opie murmured against her hair, "I'm sorry."

She sighed, always she forgot he could read her thoughts. Instantly she felt bad for letting him know.

"Opie, I would trade it all again if I got you in return. I love you more than I ever loved being human. I may be a freak of a vampire, but I'm your freak. This is where I belong," she gently kissed his chest, "right here," she kissed the skin over his unbeating heart, "in your heart and in your arms."

Opie sighed, "Don't you realize how much I wish you could be like Dee? Immortal and reap all the benefits."

Her heart hurt, feeling his pain.
"I do, Ope, I do," she kissed his face, "But I'm not."

Opie sighed, "Love, don't feel bad. If anyone should feel bad, it's me."

"Don't you do that, Opie. This is n't your fault. I love you," she stroked his face, looking into his sad green eyes.

Opie smiled sadly, kissing her forehead, "I love you...I want you to be happy."
