She stilled, blinking trying to figute out if it was really him. Suddenly, she was angry at him. She completely believed Donna when she told her Opie sent her. Viciously she bite down and drank much harder than she should have.

Opie hissed in pain, "Corrie...stop..."

Growling, she released him.

"Why, why are you saving me? She told me YOU sent her, she SHOWED me," she shrank away from him, her eyes wild from the torture she'd endured.

Opie stared at her in shock, "Corrine...what the hell are you talking about?"

Between the heartbreak and still being weak she had to leaned against a wall, barely staying upright. Her eyes could cut with their pure hatred.

"You sent her here to kill me. She showed me in her thoughts, you told her that you didn't need me any more, that, that I was just a distraction. That you never loved me, that I was n't even made right anyway."

Tears ran down her face, wasting what blood she had left.

Opie shook his heady ears streaming down his face, "No! That is not true! I love you...I came to save you!"

She dropped all her walls and showed him the memories Donna had shown her. Opie and Donna in their home, Opie stroking her naked thing, '"I'm done with her Donna, you're th only one I've ever loved." Then Donna telling him she would go kill Corrie for him and Opie agreeing just before taking her.

She fell to her knees, hands in her hair, hating reliving this.

"I loved you. I LOVED you!"

Opie shook his head, frantic, "No! I only love you! She fabricated that!"

She cried into her hands, "How could she make that up? I could feel your breath on her skin.'

She lay dpwn on the floor.

Opie scooped her up, "That is her gift. She makes illusions to her own advantage."

Again, she weakly fought against him.

"Why, opie?"

Opie felt tears stinging his eyes; making his vision bright red. He held her tight, "We have to get you home. Come on." He carried her as quick as he could out of that hell and out to a waiting car.

After she'd gotten settled at home again, she took to wondering by herself, when she could. She still felt off. She slept all the time, barely fed, she had no idea what was wrong and neither did the other vamps. Her skin looked more corpse colored by the day. Eventually she wouldn't be able to leave the house. A spot on her right shoulder ached, yet another vampire first, she hadn't told anyone.

Standing on her balcony, she sighed and rubbed the spot.

Opie came up behind her cautiously, "It hurts again?"

She nodded. She still struggled with the things Donna had shown her, wven after Dee had prooven they weren't true. Holding her shoulder, she turned and, for the first time since they returned from Romania, cuddled.into Opie.

Opie held her close, "Perhaps Chibs or Tara should examine you?" He gently pressed his cool lips to her forehead, relishing this moment.

She'd missed this, but still had flashes of the memories Donna had showed her. She fought back the tears of betrayal that never was. She inhaled his scent deeply and realized that his lips had felt cool to her.

"Opie," she looked up at him alarmed, "Your lips, they feel cold."

Opie looked at her with worry, "W-what?"

She stared at him, frantically touching his face with her hands. His face felt cold, she was warm, how was she warm? Panic struck her.

"Opie, I'm warm, how in the hell am I warm?"

The pain in her shoulder glowed red hot, she gasped and grabbed at it, falling to her knees.

Opie scooped her up frantically and carried her inside. He linked his pleas for Chibs to come over to Chibs already heavy mind.

Chibs heard Opie and sighed, that girl was trouble. In a flash he was in her room. The scene was shocking, even to him in his old age. Corrie was on her bed, eyes half open, skin grey, Opie clutching her hand.

"Wha' the hell is goin on?"

"Ever since we got back from Romania she has been sick. She said I felt cold..."

Chibs brow furrowed, "You feel cold? Wha' the bloddy hell did they do ta her?"

He walked over to her and touched her head, she wasn't just warm, she was burning up. The only time he'd seen anything like this was when a vampire in Scotland had committed a terrible crime and been put to death by silver poisoning, but that vampire had been basically encased in silver. She should have been fine after Opie removed the silver.

He looked at Ope, "Tha only thin I've seen like this, lad, is silver poisonin. But there's no silver on her."

Opie thought for moment, "....what if.....here. Help me sit her up."

Chibs grabbed her and gently leaned her forward onto his chest so Opie could have use of both hands. She groaned against him and he stroked her fiery hair.

"Shh lass," he looked at Opie, "What are you thinking?"
