A moth to a flame: Juice and Dita

When Juice woke the next day, the house was empty. He went about his day, an uneasy feeling washing over him as he texted Dee but got no replies. He sent apologies, but heard nothing. Later in the day he heard a girl at the registrar talking about Dee and how she was transferring to a school in Chicago. His throat constricted as he ran out of the office.

Dee always thought Juice was too good to be true; that she was unworthy. He could do better. Corrie and her mom tried convincing her to talk to him, but she kept trudging through.

She hadn't eaten or slept since she got home. Everything she encountered made her think of Juice, thus making her cry.

He took a leave from school, work, and paid his rent for the next four months. Everything was in order as he stepped on the plane to Chicago. Corrie, Dee's teen sister, had texted him to let him know how bad things were and he had to go. She was going to meet him at the airport.



Corrie waited impatiently for Juice. As the man walked out of the gate, she smiled, her sister liked hot latinos, apparently.

Dita was home alone for the first time in days. Both her parents were at work and and Corrie was out with a friend. She was sitting in her bedroom, looking over a scrapbook she had. She got to the final page: photos of Juice and Dee moving her things into his apartment. Tears began to trickle down her pale face. Her cheeks were irritated from the constant crying and her eyes had dark circles. She looked physically sick.

Sobs racked her body; putting her head down on the cool surface of her desk, she continued crying.

As they pulled up outside her house, Corrie looked Juice over, with a heavy Chicago accent, she spoke, "Don't you make me regret this. I am a better shot than my Daddy, so it won't matter how far you run."

She pulled the keys out of the ignition and brought him in.

Juice looked around the huge house, seeing the pictures of dee as a kid made him smile.

"Her room is upstairs. If she asks, I had no part."

Juice quietly made his way to the door, his palms sweating, and slowly opened it. When he saw her sobbing at the desk he rushed to her.

"Don't cry, this is my fault. I shouldn't have ignored you. Just, that little girl, she haunts me and I get so that I can barely hold myself together, I'm sorry."

Dita looked up at her, her eyes big, "W-wha...you came here...why?"

"I love you, I never meant to hurt you," he blushed a deep crimson, "I just didn't want you to see me cry."

Dita looked ashamed, looking down, "I thought you hated me. I just thought maybe you found someone else..."

He grabbed her chin, "Never."

Dita's tears kept slipping down her cheeks, "I'm sorry."

He kissed her and held her close, "It ws my fault. I'm so sorry."

Dita kissed him back, pulling him close to her. She hadn't been feeling well since she came home; running a temp and coughing.

He felt the temp against his skin, "Babe, you're burning up."

Dita frowned, "I'm fine. It's just a cold."

He called for Corrie who showed up with attitude for days. He told her to get tylenol and a drinlk and she did.
"Take these,"he handed them to Dee.

Dita took the pills, coughing some afterward.

He picked her up and put her in her bed.
"I have to go to my sister's. This is not how I want your family to meet me," he smiled.

Dita started crying again, "No..."

He sighed, ok, I'll stay."

Dita drifted off to sleep, finally feeling at ease.

He st at her bed side, holding her hand, until Corrie came flying to the room.
"Shit! Daddy is home and he is pissed!"

Tig Tregar couldn't believe that boy had the nerve to come after his Dee Dee girl. After he made her feel so unloved. He found out that Corrie picked the boy up at O'hare. The guard on duty is a friend of Tig's and told him everything. Tig stopped by Gemma's catering office to pick her up. He ranted as they went, "I can't believe that boy had the nerve to come here."

Gemma put hee hand on his, "Baby, he loves her. Try not to be quite so you."

Tig groaned, "I don't trust him, Gem. He can't be in love with her. He may be obsessed...ain't normal."

She raised an eyebrow,"You'd know all about that, sweetheart."
