A moth to a flame: Juice and Dita

Juice woke to Dita jumping out of the bed. Blinking his eyes and stretching he walked into the bathroom just as she puked. Instantly, he was awake.

"Are you ok?"

Dita fought back another bought of nausea, "T-that coffee...what the hell brand is it? Smells horrid!"

He raised an eyebrow, "It's the same I always use."

Dita vomited once more, "Oh god, it smells terrible. Close the door, please...I can't stand it."

He closed the door and went to the kitchen. After opening all the windows, he oured the coffee down the sink and cleaned the machine.

Dita came out a few minted later after showering and brushing her teeth. She frowned seeing her husband dumped his coffee, "I'm so sorry...you should drank it...not pour it out on my account."

"It was bothering you, it wasn't a big deal," he smiled.

Dita got in the fridge and started eating the food from yesterday. "What should we do today?"

"Are you sure you feel up to going out?" he was in full on worry mode now.

Dita pouted, "Please? I don't want to miss out on our honeymoon."

He shrugged, "Ok. How about some snorkling?"

Dita's face lit up, "Oh, that would be fun!"

Juice dressed and they made their way to the area of the resort where you could go snorkeling with a guide. He was beyond excited. He held Dee's hand as they swam through the reef looking at all the brightly colored fish and other exotic animals. He loved the way her hair floated around her head creating a living cloud.

Dita enjoyed the cool water and beauty of the ocean. When they were done, the tour guide took their photos on the shore. They went back to their cottage to have lunch. While Juice ordered the food, Dee went into the bathroom to shower and change into one of her silk nightgowns. Her muscles were sore from the swim.

Dita was going through her bag looking for a hair tie when she came across a box of tampons her sister had packed for her. She paused. Her period had been late prior to the wedding but she wrote it off as stress. What if...

She went out into the living room, the color rushing out of her cheeks. "Babe, do they have a pharmacy in the hotel lobby?"

His smile faltered as he looked at her over the top of his book, "Yea, do you need me to go buy something for you?"

Dita frowned, fidgeting some, "....a pregnancy test?"

For a moment, his jaw dropped open. This was something he really wanted. He jumped up out of his chair, smiled at her, kissed her cheek and all but ran to the main part of the hotel. When he came back, he was out of breath and the food was there. He handed her the bag.

"Go! Take it!" his smiled widened.

Dita was surprised by his eagerness. She took the bag and disappeared into the bathroom where she was in there for a good twenty minutes. She stared at both pregnancy tests in shock. Both positive; a part of her was happy, but another part of her was scared. How could she have a baby and finish out her last year of college. She started crying out of fear.

He heard her crying in the bathroom and sat down his food. He lightly knocked on the door, opened it, saw the tests and, despite her tears, beamed and picked her up, twirling in a circle.

"Oh this is just amazing!"

Dita shook her head, "What about school? How can I finish school or go to work if I have a baby? I don't know anything about being a mother."

He smiled a her gently and held her against him, "Neither did my mother, but she did it alone. And you'll have months before you have to worry about that part. Talk to your professor's see if they will work with you to have you done by the end. Your mom will be more than thrilled to babysit. Stop over thinking."

He gently brushed her forehead with his lips.

Dita silently rested against him, slowly reaching down to rest one of her small hands on her bare tummy under her robe. She couldn't believe it: they were going to have a baby. Even though it was sudden and she was scared, she was excited too. A small smile spread on her face as she caressed the spot.

Putting his large hand on top of hers, he closed his eyes and just thought about the possibilities.

"I'm going to put an offer on that apartment tomorrow. I'll use the email on my cell."

Dita kissed his neck gently, "Do you have photos? I trust you...I just would love to see it."

"I'll have them send some in the morning so you can see it too," he leaned into the kiss, barely able to keep his train of thought.
