Opie looked at her with concern, "What? What is it baby?"

She buried her face in his chest, "What if it happens again?"

Opie sighed, "We have to believe it won't...we have to remain positive, baby."

She nodded and went to go get ready for the opera.

She had absolutely loved the Opera. The building was amazing. The show beautiful. She sat as close to Opie as she could the whole night. She knew she wanted to go again before they left.


Due to the high risk nature of her pregnancy, Opie had paid for a doctor to travel with them.She stayed in a hotel, but was always on call. In the comfort of their own home the doctor conducted an ultrasound. There, on the screen was not one, but three tiny fluttering heart beats. Corrie broke out in tears, using her phone to make a video to send to her sister.

Opie looked at the screen and back at the doctor; mixed, but overall happy emotions playing across his face. "T-Triplets...?"

The doctor spoke with a slight french accent, "Two appear to be identical, but all are healthy and strong. We're about 8 weeks along."

Opie grinned at his wife, "Amazing...I love you so much." He leaned in, kissing her tenderly.

Corrie was in shock for the rest of the day, constantly watching the video of the babies on her phone when she thought he wasn't looking. She even sent the video to his dad.

Opie came into the living room and saw her on the phone again, "Hey...wanna go for a walk or something?"

"Yea, sure, I love the city in the evening."

She took his hand.

Opie smiled, "Come on, we can go to that cafe you love too." He held out his hand for her to take.

She absolutely adored her husband and finally felt like she was giving him happiness. While they were at the cage, her phone rang, she handed it to Opie; it was his dad.

Piermont didn't waste any time, "Get my goddamn son on the phone now, harlot."

Corrie's eyes widened in shock, "Harlot? Who in the hell do you think you're talking to you crotchety old man?"

"GET MY SON ON THE PHONE NOW!!!"

Pissed, Corrie gave the phone to opie and walked away into the crowdon the Paris streets.

Opie was chasing after in a matter of seconds, "Cor! Corrine! Stop!" He soon caught up with her, holding her arm gently.

Despite herself, she started to cry.

"Why does he hate me so much?"

He pulled her close, "Fuck him...he doesn't matter, do you hear me? It's just us. Screw what he thinks."

She sobbed against him, ""I love you. Can we just go back to the apartment?"

Opie kissed her head gently, "Sure...we can order some pizza and watch bad Frence movies. How's that sound?

She nodded. They headed home and watched terrible movies.


Christmas, two months later

At four months pregnant, Corrie was already huge. When she told people she was having triplets they always stared, mouths open. she had pretty proficiently learned french. They weren't sure how long they would stay. Corrie loved it there.

This evening she was lounging in the apartment rubbing her belly and reading.

Opie came home from the postal and handed Corrie her mail as he dropped a kiss on top of her head, "Hey baby..." He reached down and rubbed her tummy, "How you feeling?"

There was a letter from her mother and pictures of all the nieces and nephews. She smiled.

"I feel better now that you're here."

Opie kissed her lips gently, "I can't think of anyplace else I'd rather be. How's the babies?"
